Product description
γ-Glutamyltranspeptidase (γ-glutamyltranspeptidase, γ-GT, EC 2.3.2.2), also known as γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, catalyzes the transfer of γ-glutamyl groups from glutathione, S-substituted glutathione, and other γ-glutamyl compounds; this enzyme is widely distributed in living organisms, is a key enzyme in the glutathione cycle, and plays an important role in amino acid transport, making it an important indicator of metabolic activity in living organisms. γ-GT catalyzes the transfer of γ-glutamyl groups from glutamyl p-nitroaniline to N-glycylglycine, producing p-nitroaniline, and the enzyme activity can be calculated by measuring the increase rate of p-nitroaniline absorption at 410nm.
