Product description
Superoxide dismutase (SOD) (EC 1.15.1.1) is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms, and cultured cells. It possesses anti-aging properties, enhances the body's resistance to various diseases, and strengthens the body's adaptability to the external environment. This kit uses the NBT method to determine SOD activity. NBT reacts with superoxide anions (O2.-) generated by xanthine oxidase (XO) to produce colored substances, which absorb at 560nm. SOD can clear O2.-, thereby inhibiting the formation of colored substances. The deeper the color of the reaction liquid, the lower the SOD activity, and vice versa.
