Soil phosphodiesterase (S-PDE, EC 3.1.4.1) is the second largest phosphatase after soil phosphomonoesterase. It plays an important role in the cycling and metabolism of soil organic phosphorus. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid detection method. Soil phosphodiesterase (S-PDE) catalyzes bis(4-nitrophenyl) phosphate (BNPP) to form the yellow product PNP, which has the maximum absorption peak at 405nm. By detecting the increase rate of PNP at 405nm, the activity of S-PDE enzyme can be determined.

Visible spectrophotometer, 1mL glass cuvettes (optical path 1cm), desktop centrifuge, water bath or temperature-controlled incubator, balance, pipettes.
