Product description
Soil nitrate reductase can convert nitrate in the soil into nitrite, which is then transformed into ammonium, an important raw material for the nitrogen cycle, through the action of nitrite reductase. This process regulates nitrogen metabolism and affects photosynthetic carbon metabolism, thereby affecting plant growth. This kit provides a rapid and accurate method for determination. Soil nitrate reductase catalyzes the reduction of nitrate to nitrite, while inhibiting the degradation of the produced nitrite by nitrite reductase. Nitrite reacts with the corresponding color-developing agent to form (pink) red azo compounds. The colored substance has the maximum absorption peak at 540nm, from which the activity of soil nitrate reductase can be derived.
