Product description
Manganese peroxidase (EC1.11.1.13, Mnp) is a glycosylated extracellular protein secreted by fungi, a heme-containing peroxidase enzyme, mainly found in white-rot wood-decay fungi and soil actinomycetes, part of the lignin degradation enzyme system, and can effectively degrade lignin and other recalcitrant substances in wastewater and the environment, such as humic acid and various organic pollutants including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Soil manganese peroxidase (S-Mnp) oxidizes dimethoxyphenol (DMP) to form a product with a characteristic absorption peak at 470nm in the presence of Mn2+. By detecting the increase rate of the product at 470nm, the activity of Mnp enzyme can be determined.
