Soil Fluorescein Diacetate (FDA) Hydrolase Kit (SESAF-K011S)

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Cat.No.
SESAF-K011S
Method
Spectrophotometry
Product size
48T
Product description
Soil FDA hydrolase is closely associated with soil nutrient indicators such as total carbon, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus. It has a more significant correlation with microbial activity than other enzyme activities and can well reflect the transformation of organic matter in the system and the activity of soil microorganisms, making it one of the microbial indicators of soil health quality. FDA is a colorless compound that can be catalyzed and hydrolyzed by many soil enzymes in the medium, and after a dehydration reaction, it produces the final product of enzyme hydrolysis—fluorescein, which has a strong absorption peak at 490nm. By detecting the change in absorbance at 490nm, the activity of FDA hydrolase can be determined.
Additional Materials and Equipments Required
Visible spectrophotometer, 1mL glass cuvettes (optical path 1cm), pipettes, balance, low-temperature centrifuge, constant temperature water bath, acetone.
