Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4, 5 % trehalose and 5 % mannitol.
Bio-activity
Measured by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of M1 mouse myeloid leukemia cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.2-1 ng/ml.
Molecular Mass
Recombinant Human LIF comprises 191 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 21.2 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 35-42 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Endotoxin
< 1.0 EU per 1 microgram of protein (determined by LAL method).
Purity
> 95 % by SDS-PAGE.
Storage
In lyophilized state for 1 year (4°C); After reconstitution under sterile conditions for 3 months (-70°C). Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute in sterile distilled water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.
