Product description
Phospholipase C (PLC, EC 3.1.4.3) is a lipid hydrolase that hydrolyzes the C3 position of glycerophosphate ester bonds in glycerophospholipids, widely present in microorganisms, plant and animal tissues and cells, and plays an important role in cellular metabolism, cell signaling, growth, and development. Phospholipase C catalyzes the hydrolysis of O-(4-nitrophenyl) choline (NPPC) to produce p-nitrophenol (PNP), which has the maximum absorption peak at 405nm. By detecting the increase rate of PNP at 405nm, the activity of PLC can be determined.
