Product description
Phosphofructokinase: fructose-6-phosphate-1-phosphotransferase (PFP, EC2.7.1.90) is a cytosolic enzyme widely present in plant tissues, catalyzing the reversible conversion between fructose-6-phosphate and fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, playing an important role in photosynthetic carbon metabolism. PFP catalyzes the conversion of fructose-6-phosphate to fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, which is then converted to dihydroxyacetone phosphate under the action of aldolase and triose phosphate isomerase, and further catalyzed by 3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase, causing a decrease in the absorbance of NADH at 340 nm, thereby reflecting the activity level of PFP enzyme.
Additional Materials and Equipments Required
