Nitric oxide (NO) is widely distributed in organisms, acting as an intercellular and intracellular signaling molecule and playing an important role in the physiological and pathological processes of the body. Since nitric oxide (NO) itself is highly unstable and quickly metabolized into nitrate and nitrite in cells, this kit uses nitrate reductase to reduce nitrate to nitrite, which then reacts with modified Griess Reagent to form a colored substance with a characteristic absorption peak at 530nm. The total nitric oxide (NO) content in the sample can be calculated by measuring the change in absorbance.
