Product description
Malondialdehyde (MDA) is produced due to lipid peroxidation in tissues or organ membranes of organisms under aging or stress conditions. Its content is closely related to the aging and stress damage of organisms. MDA reacts with thiobarbituric acid (TBA) under high temperature and acidic conditions to form a red product, which has a maximum absorption peak at 532nm. After color comparison, the content of peroxidized lipids in the sample can be estimated; meanwhile, the absorbance at 600nm is measured, and the difference in absorbance between 532nm and 600nm is used to calculate the MDA content.
