Product description
Lysozyme, also known as muramidase or N-acetylmuramoylhydrolase, catalyzes the hydrolysis of polysaccharides in the cell walls of certain bacteria, thereby dissolving the bacterial cell walls and killing the bacteria. Lysozyme can degrade a certain concentration of turbid bacterial suspension, reducing turbidity and increasing transmittance. The activity of lysozyme can be determined by measuring the change in light transmission.
