Product description
Lignin is a high molecular weight aromatic compound containing hydroxyl and methoxyl groups, a derivative of phenylpropanoid, which, along with cellulose and hemicellulose, forms the skeleton of the plant body, greatly enhancing the mechanical strength of the cell wall. It provides support for the plant, adapts to the environment, and resists insect diseases and lodging. Additionally, some precursors such as phenols and free radicals produced during the synthesis of lignin can destroy the biological activity of enzymes and the permeability of cell membranes related to the original bacteria, thus giving the plant a certain ability to defend itself. This kit uses the acetylation method to acetylate the phenolic hydroxyl groups in lignin, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 280nm, and the absorbance at 280nm is positively correlated with the content of lignin.
