Product description
Lactose, under the action of β-galactosidase, is broken down into galactose and glucose. Glucose is then oxidized by a specific enzyme to produce a (pink) red product that reacts with the color reagent, which has a maximum absorption peak at 510nm. The lactose content is obtained by correcting the background value of free glucose.
