Product description
Abnormal increases in lactate levels are closely related to various diseases such as diabetes and acidosis. L-lactate is the main intermediate product of lactate metabolism in the human body and is present in the blood. D-lactate also exists but in very low amounts, only 1-5% of L-lactate. This kit provides a rapid and sensitive detection method: lactate is converted to pyruvate under the action of lactate dehydrogenase, reducing NAD+ to NADH; additional enzymes are added to further decompose pyruvate for a smooth reaction; the generated NADH reacts with a specific color-developing agent to produce a colored substance with a maximum absorption peak at 450nm. By detecting the increase at 450nm, the content of lactate can be calculated.
