Product description
Laccase (EC 1.10.3.2) is a copper-containing polyphenol oxidase belonging to the family of copper blue oxidases, widely distributed in fungi and higher plants, with strong redox capabilities. It has a very wide range of applications in pulp biological bleaching, environmental pollutant degradation, lignocellulose degradation, and biological detection. Laccase decomposes the substrate ABTS to produce ABTS radicals, which have a much higher absorbance coefficient at 420nm than the substrate ABTS. By measuring the increase rate of ABTS radicals, the laccase activity can be calculated.
