Product description
Hydroxyl radicals (OH-) are a type of reactive oxygen species. 2-Deoxyribose is oxidized to malondialdehyde-like substances in the presence of hydroxyl radicals (OH-), which then condense with thiobarbituric acid (TBA) to form a colored product. By measuring the maximum absorption peak of the colored product at 532nm, the content of hydroxyl radicals (OH-) can be calculated.
