In addition, glutamic acid is the most abundant fast excitatory neurotransmitter in the mammalian nervous system and is found in various foods, where it is used as a flavor enhancer in the food industry. This kit provides a rapid and sensitive method for detecting glutamic acid. By using glutamate dehydrogenase to specifically act on glutamic acid, the resulting substance reacts with a color developer to form a yellow substance with a maximum absorption peak at 450nm, thereby determining the content of glutamic acid.
