Product description
Glucose dehydrogenase (GCDH, EC 1.1.1.47) belongs to the oxidoreductase family, catalyzing the reaction of D-glucose and NAD(P) to produce D-gluconic acid and NAD(P)H, participating in the pentose phosphate pathway. GCDH catalyzes D-glucose and NAD to form D-gluconic acid and NADH. By measuring the increase rate of NADH at 340nm, the activity of GCDH can be reflected. Traditional methods involve detecting the absorbance of NADH at 340nm. Due to the low molar extinction coefficient (ε) of NADH, this method has low sensitivity and is highly susceptible to interference. This assay kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid detection method: the NADH produced in this enzymatic process reacts with a specific color-developing agent to form a colored substance with a maximum absorption peak at 450nm. By detecting the increase rate of this colored substance at 450nm, the activity of glucose dehydrogenase can be calculated.
