Product description
Glucose-6-phosphate (G6P) is glucose phosphorylated at the carbon six. Most glucose entering the cell is phosphorylated to G6P, which is involved in glycolysis and the pentose phosphate metabolic pathway, and can also be converted into glycogen or starch. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid method for determination: G6P is acted upon by specific enzymes, and the NADH produced in the process combines with a sensitive color-developing probe, having a maximum absorption wavelength at 450nm. The color intensity of the resulting colored substance is proportional to the concentration of G6P in the sample.
