Product description
Glucose-6-phosphatase (glucose 6 phosphatase, G6Pase, EC 3.1.3.9) is primarily found in the liver, kidneys, intestinal mucosa cells, and pancreatic islet cells. It is a key enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of 6-phosphorus glucose to glucose, which is the final step in glycogen breakdown and gluconeogenesis. It plays an important role in maintaining the dynamic balance of blood sugar. This assay kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid method for determination: G6Pase catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate to glucose, and mutase and glucose dehydrogenase further catalyze the reduction of NAD+ to NADH. NADH reacts with a color-developing probe to form a colored substance. By detecting the increase rate of this colored substance, the activity of G6Pase can be calculated.
