Product description
Ferric chelate reductase (FCR) catalyzes the reduction of Fe3+ in ferric chelates to Fe2+, which plays an important role in the absorption of iron elements in some species. FCR can catalyze the reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+, which then reacts with ferrozine to form a purple-red compound that has a characteristic absorption peak at 562nm. The enzyme activity can be determined by measuring the increase rate at 562nm.
