Product description
Diamine oxidase (DAO, EC1.4.3.6) is widely present in animals, plants, and microorganisms. It catalyzes the oxidation of diamines to aldehydes and hydrogen peroxide, which is related to nucleic acid and protein synthesis, as well as plant stress physiology. DAO catalyzes the production of aldehydes and hydrogen peroxide, and the resulting hydrogen peroxide reacts with 4-amino antipyrine to produce a colored substance with a maximum absorption peak at 510nm. DAO enzyme activity can be determined by measuring the change in absorbance at 510nm.
