Product description
NADP-isocitrate dehydrogenase (NADP-IDH, EC 1.1.1.42) is widely present in eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms. It is an important pathway for the production of NADPH in the cytosol, in addition to the pentose phosphate pathway, and its activity usually changes significantly under stress. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid method of determination: NADP-IDH catalyzes the production of NADPH from NADP+, which then reacts with a specific color developer to produce a colored substance with a maximum absorption peak at 450nm. By measuring the increase in the colored substance at 450nm, the activity of NADP-IDH can be calculated.
