Product description
Cytoplasmic-3-phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (ctGPD, EC 1.1.1.8) enzyme activity level directly determines the distribution of material flow towards glycerol synthesis in the process of glucose decomposition metabolism, and thus determines the level of glycerol production. ctGPD is NAD-dependent and catalyzes the conversion of dihydroxyacetone phosphate to 3-phosphoglycerate. By measuring the decrease in NADH at 340nm, the enzyme activity of ctGPD can be determined.
