The determination of nicotinamide nucleotides has been a research focus in terms of energy transformation and redox status in cells or tissues. The NADP+/NADPH ratio is not only one of the main indicators of cellular redox status but also plays an important regulatory role in the biosynthesis and antioxidant metabolism of biomolecules. This assay kit provides a convenient and rapid detection method, offering specific extraction liquid to separately extract NADP+ and NADPH from samples. NADPH reacts with a highly sensitive colorimetric reagent to form a yellow water-soluble azine under the action of a hydrogen donor, which is detected at 450nm to obtain the NADPH content. NADP+ content is detected by specifically reducing NADP+ to NADPH using 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase.
