Product description
Citrate is an important organic acid and a key food flavoring substance, as well as the product of the first reaction in the citric acid cycle. This assay kit provides a specific enzymatic method for detecting citrate content, using citrate lyase to decompose citrate into oxaloacetate, and malate dehydrogenase to catalyze the conversion of oxaloacetate into lactate, while converting NADH to NAD+. The decrease in absorbance at 340nm is measured to calculate the citrate content in the sample.
