Product description
Arginine decarboxylase (ADC, EC 4.1.1.19) is a key enzyme in the synthesis of free polyamines in most plants and is related to plant stress physiology. Arginine decarboxylase (ADC) catalyzes the substrate arginine to produce agmatine, which is derivatized with a derivatization agent. The derivative has a maximum absorption peak at 254nm. The ADC enzyme activity is determined by measuring the change in absorbance at 254nm.
