Product description
Acetate kinase (ACK, EC 2.7.2.1) is a key enzyme related to acetate metabolism, catalyzing the conversion of acetate and ATP to acetyl phosphate and ADP, which eventually enters the citric acid cycle for acetate metabolism. ACK catalyzes the conversion of sodium acetate and ATP to acetyl phosphate and ADP, and pyruvate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase further catalyze the oxidation of NADH to NAD+. The activity of ACK can be reflected by measuring the decrease in NADH at 340nm.
