Product description
α-Galactosidase (α-GAL, EC 3.2.1.22) can specifically hydrolyze α-galactosidic bonds at the end of sugar chains in polysaccharides, glycolipids, and glycoproteins. It is present in humans, animals, plants, and microorganisms and has a wide range of application prospects in the fields of food, feed, and medicine. This kit provides a simple, sensitive, and rapid determination method. α-GAL breaks down p-nitrophenyl-α-D-galactopyranoside to produce yellow p-nitrophenol (PNP), which has a maximum absorption peak at 405nm. The increase in absorbance rate is used to calculate α-GAL activity.
